Douglas Cook’s grandfather was a stone mason who came to Canada from Scotland. He like thousands of immigrants brought his skills here and benefited all of us, his contribution was to help build Casa Loma. The tradition and desire to contribute to the landscape of this country continues in Doug’s love of architecture.
Originally Doug started a very successful software company in the early 80’s. Using his mathematical skills and knowledge of computers he was soon so successful that a large well known corporation bought his company. Not satisfied with retiring Doug decided to fulfill his other passion and began to build unique luxury custom homes. This soon grew into Stirling Cook Developments with a residential development under way in Wasaga Beach. Since then there are two more developments underway one in Wasaga Beach and the other in Bloomington Heights in Aurora.
As a well respected business man Doug has been able to attract the best in the industry to provide their expertise on these projects. Stirling Cook Developments is a proud member of The Greater Toronto Home-Builders Association.
